Blinded Cyclops

Today as my men and I sailed in route for Ithaca, we spotted land. It seemed like a peaceful place with lots of shelter so I told them to progress toward shore. After we made it to land, we made our way to a cave on the rocky slopes of the island along with several of my men. The cave was rather impressive with an interior larger than the exterior. There were even sheep outside of the entrance. My men wanted to just take the flock, but I wanted to meet whoever dwelled here. Maybe they knew how to get back home. After minutes of looking around I found the one who I was looking for. Here was a giant, and from the back he looked like a very nice man. I was about to introduce myself when he turned around. It was a Cyclops. Oops. He asked me who I was. I thought for a moment and called myself Nohbady. He immediately ate two of my men. I hide in a corner and came up with a plan. We once again approached this monster and offered him wine. He drank all of the wine in one gulp and ate another two of my men. He then collapsed into a deep sleep. My men and I began to sharpen a wooden splint and heated in fire. We then stabbed the giant in the eye. He woke up, but being blind now he could not catch us.
“I’ll get you Nohbady! Nohbady has blinded me! Catch Nohbady!” The Cyclops screamed
I then told him my real name and ran away to shore. He called on Poseidon to set a curse on me, but I am not afraid of him. I have all of the other Gods on my side. And now I also have a flock of sheep.
